What is an eSIM?

A digital SIM card built into your phone. You download a profile via a QR code — no plastic card.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Enter your email, pay, done. No sign-up, no credit check, no passwords to remember.

Does it work with my phone?

Most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM: iPhone XS+, Samsung S20+, Google Pixel 3+. Take the self-check at merdata.no/enheter to be sure.

Do I lose my own number?

No. The eSIM is added as an extra profile. Your existing number keeps working for calls, SMS and iMessage.

Do streaming and banking services from home work?

The eSIM is a pure data line, and the IP address isn't necessarily local — traffic is routed through an international hub. Services that require a local IP, such as some national streaming and banking services, may therefore be unavailable. For everyday browsing, maps, email, social media and apps it works just fine.

How quickly do I get the eSIM?

The QR code appears right after payment and is emailed to you. Activation typically takes 1–3 minutes.

How can I pay?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Vipps all work. We never run a credit check, whichever way you pay.

What if it doesn't work?

We refund in full if the eSIM can't be delivered. Reach us via chat or email.

Why is there no VAT on the prices?

Datamynt AS is not yet registered for Norwegian VAT. The price you see at checkout is the final price — nothing is added at payment. Your receipt shows the same amount.

Can I cancel my purchase?

You can cancel the order as long as the eSIM code hasn't been activated. Once the QR code is scanned and the profile installed on your phone, the right of withdrawal lapses (Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act § 22). If something doesn't work, we refund you regardless.
